Opt-in Paid Delivery, permanent Community posts, and clearer scan waits
Product update · November 6, 2026
Community posts now stay public after an account is deleted, the Sub-processors page names who processes wallet transfers, and the composer explains when the daily file-scan limit is holding an attachment.
Community posts and replies are permanent. Deleting your account, in Settings or through support, keeps them with their original text and author name, the way a Bitcoin transaction stays on the record.
The Sub-processors page now names the network operators that process each wallet transfer and can see its amount.
When the daily safety-scan limit is reached, an attached file now shows the time its scan can start instead of waiting without a reason.
Members with an active Bitcoin wallet can optionally charge a Lightning delivery fee for unapproved outside mail. Settlement goes straight into the member wallet; BTC.email takes no cut and never holds spending keys.
Paid Delivery is off by default. Turn it on in Settings → Senders, set your own satoshi price, and optionally auto-allow future mail from senders who pay.
Screened outside senders get a private pay link. Paying the Lightning invoice and submitting payment proof releases that one held email into your Inbox.
Payments settle peer-to-member on Lightning. BTC.email is not a custodian or money transmitter for member wallet balances and takes zero fee on Paid Delivery.
