Signup addresses, and paying with proof
Product update · November 4, 2026
Every access code now works as an address too. Give a friend, or use for a newsletter signup, an address like name+code@btc.email from Settings, Mailbox, Senders, and the first message reaches your Inbox. A code resets to a new random value every 30 days, can lock to the first domain that uses it, and can be reset, given your own tag, or revoked at any time.
Paying is faster too. After you pay a Lightning invoice from us, your wallet keeps a 64-character payment proof, sometimes called the preimage, in the payment details. Paste it where the invoice appears, on your registration page after you sign in, or under an address change or alias order in Settings, and the payment is recorded at once. A proof that does not match the invoice records nothing, and we still confirm payments by hand if you prefer.
Every account is still approved by hand, in waves. Questions go to support@btc.email.
