Community, clearer Marketplace choices, and an inbox that fits
Approved, active members can talk in Community with their existing profile. Marketplace choices are clearer, the inbox adapts to enlarged text, and About and Features explain the network behind your address.
Historical update · October 26, 2026
Community becomes Switchboard: explore Constellation, Channels, and Pulse field, or keep Pods, Stream, Tiles, and Heatmap. Conversations share the new light and dark appearance with a matching transcript reader. The title fits small screens with enlarged text.
Community explains the permanent-history checkbox before posting, makes disabled actions clear, and shows when a post or reply is being saved. Mention member waits until that request finishes, and changing rooms preserves the other room’s draft.
Meet Agents on its announcement page: planned Bitcoin price notices, fee alerts, and a daily brief, with opt-in controls and an early-access introduction. Connecting your own tools is separate.
The Marketplace listings region has a distinct name for screen-reader navigation.
The private investor brief uses clear money flows, contrasting economic exhibits, and an animated sharing sequence. Its printable copy stays tied to page updates.
Signup, the FAQ, and Support explain personal onboarding. We contact you at your existing email address for a one-on-one walkthrough. Confirmation, payment or a covering coupon, and operator approval are required before activation.
The corner composer and Bottom right reader share small tablets without covering each other; on a phone the reader yields while you compose. Enlarged Sheet subjects get their own line, and expanded Community history stays usable on landscape phones.
Public pictures and support forms can appear in search. Private pages remain unlisted, and their images keep the same private response protections. The public inbox pictures now show the current mailbox, and printed pages omit the site header and footer.
Marketplace visitors, public-profile readers, and new sign-ins can request the same personal introduction. Existing members keep their sign-in path, and introduction links also work without JavaScript.
Get started with a desired username, personal email, and optional note. We arrange a personal walkthrough before purchase; a request creates no account or name reservation.
Get started opens the same introduction form from more places, with a branded request receipt. Account confirmation points you back to your purchase invitation. The operator console separates personal introductions from final activation, so a completed walkthrough stays complete.
FAQs now match their pages: About groups the full reference by topic, Features and Marketplace use compact question columns, and Support answers common problems. Links to a question open its answer, including without JavaScript.
Paid aliases and address changes keep their chosen purchase terms. Their notices show a Trial deadline when applicable, and payment retries keep one reserve receipt.
Inbox search fills the space beside the brand in every view. Compose keeps one appearance across the rail, tabs, and phone dock, and neighboring tools have room between them. At enlarged text, search stays usable. Sheet conversations also stay visible when reading on a phone or from a custom list.
The signed-in header shows the Bitcoin price in dollars beside Settings. It refreshes while the page is visible and says when a price is unavailable.
Features keeps every section title, caption, address example, and choice label on the left. Section titles now sit below their labels on wider screens too.
Address and alias prices show a dollar estimate only after reading a real rate. If a rate is unavailable, the price stays in sats and the estimate says so; the wallet labels any last known price.
Choose Sats alone or a currency estimate on the Marketplace. Listings, reserved names, and checkout share the selected estimate; payment stays in sats, and an unavailable rate shows no estimate. Your choice is remembered on your next visit, and the Settings Marketplace preview follows it.
An uncertain purchase keeps the confirmation you already reviewed when you reopen Buy. Dialog results stay beside their controls, and Marketplace dates use your local time.
Dates and times across Settings, Community, and the operator console now show in your own time zone.
The Buy dialog shows the listed price beside what you pay and uses the board's words, You pay and Seller gets. Placing or withdrawing a short-name bid confirms with a notice.
At signup, Register keeps its label while a coupon applies, the coupon result sits under Apply, and each purchase option has its own full-size row.
About, Features, the FAQ, and Support state the signup price and say that mail from senders you have not let in is removed. Features and About end with the same Get started action, and the homepage names the Marketplace as every other page does.
The updated Terms and Privacy Policy describe how a Trial term ends, number the Community sections, and describe an alias as an address that delivers into your inbox. Dollar figures beside sats are market references in US dollars or the currency you choose.
On phones and small tablets, the Stack, Sheet, and Islands views show the bottom bar again. Phone reading windows keep a margin, Sheet amounts line up, and every view fits a phone at enlarged text.
In high-contrast mode, pressed buttons and the current folder tab are marked, and fields inside dialogs show one focus ring.
On phones, Community shows its rules, preferences, and moderation headings in full, and its history keeps its height when the toolbar wraps, a panel opens, or text is enlarged.
Alias emails say mail arrives in your inbox, and the walkthrough email mentions a coupon only to members who used one.
At enlarged text, the phone inbox bar wraps with every button reachable. Notices and selection actions stay above it, and Sheet cards keep their checkbox and More menu.
On wider screens, a corner draft and the Bottom right reader sit beside each other. Each inbox view sets its own row height, so Settings no longer offers List density.
The sample inbox now blocks only the conversation you act on, like the connected inbox. Reset sample inbox is available from the view switcher on every screen.
Make an alias your primary address without buying it again. Your old primary inbox and its messages stay available as a legacy alias. An alias used after a sale keeps its original term deadline, and expired aliases cannot be selected.
Alias, primary-address, and Marketplace emails now retry independently when delivery is uncertain. Invoices stop retrying after replacement, payment, or cancellation. Incomplete payments stay visible for recovery and keep their name reserved. Delayed sends cannot start after checkout fails, and recorded payments recover when a checkout callback is lost.
About now follows the intertwined history of email and Bitcoin, with sources beside each milestone, clearer callouts, and a timeline that adapts to phones and both appearances. The full FAQ stays in place.
Marketplace checkout now requires the total and payment split you reviewed. A changed quote needs confirmation again, and a recycled name cannot redirect the payment.
Marketplace purchases now finish old-address retirement, and a sold primary inbox must be deleted before its name transfers. The sale is final; its messages never transfer to the buyer.
Features now connects the inbox, Marketplace names, public profiles, and Bitcoin through one address. Explore each connection, then read the purchase, alias, wallet, and pilot limits in place.
Community uses the full Settings width, with room navigation beside conversations and visible Pods, Stream, Tiles, and Heatmap controls. The heatmap shows recent activity with unread outlines, and search and sorting stay close at hand. Room, thread, and subscription links update the open view; replies respect room locks and distinguish a saved reply from a failed refresh.
Community keeps toolbar labels visible in short windows and preserves profile avatar proportions. Results inside its dialogs stay beside their controls.
Find pinned network announcements, which read like conversations, choose optional network alerts or email, and stop either from Community settings.
Follow permanent conversations and their replies, with clear community rules and posting limits.
Choose a stream, conversation pods, tiles, or a dense activity field, and expand the view to use your screen.
Subscribe to thread emails, get excerpts of up to ten of the latest replies in one email, and manage or stop subscriptions from Community. Delivery is limited to one email per member per minute.
Mute a member across the community, review your muted accounts, and unmute them when you choose.
Control mentions, replies, in-app toasts, light sound, and browser alerts in the Community view. Browser alerts show this device’s permission status and work while Community is open, subject to browser support.
The Support room is shared with members. Private account questions still go to support@btc.email.
When you list your address on the Marketplace, choose where you move when it sells: a new name of eight or more characters, an address BTC.email assigns for you, or one of your aliases. The replacement address is free with the sale, and it starts with an empty inbox.
